Adam Con Workshop! You won't want to miss it!

Mark your date-books!

Adam Con will be in Vancouver on Saturday 3 October to do a workshop at St Mary’s Kerrisdale, 10am-3pm. Brigid will have a form at next Tuesday’s rehearsal for group registration at a reduced rate; is there someone who would take on being the coordinator for ROCA registrations, so that it’s paid to BCCF with a single cheque?

If you enjoyed his work with us last fall, you’ll love this workshop!

Request for singers from Brigid

There’s to be a BIG funeral at St Mary’s Kerrisdale on Thursday 24 September at 3pm, and they want a BIG choir. So far, they’ve asked for the Chilcott “Irish Blessing” and Dubinsky “We Rise Again” – I suspect there will be other requests.

If you’re available that afternoon, please contact Brigid Coult at bcoult@stmaryskerrisdale.ca  or brigid@uniserve.com  as soon as possible. Honoraria will be paid, or a fee to a choir.  Plan for a 2pm call; I’ll confirm things when I’ve heard more from the family and when I know who might be able to sing.

O Canada Sing Out New date Sunday, September 27

The call for a group to sing "O Canada" at Lansdowne is for Sunday 27 September, at 12:30pm, not this weekend.  Can you get back to me at brigid@uniserve.com by the end of this week if you might be available; Paul needs to let them know if we might be able to do it.  Ideal would be a double-quartet, plus – if we can’t field that, I think it’ll have to be a no (or a soloist?)

Volunteers Needed at Richmond Centre, Sunday, September 13

ROCA will have a table at Richmond Center on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 11:00AM to 6:00PM to give out information about upcoming concerts and recruit new members. Peter Bayley is looking for a few people who could come out for some time to relieve him for a few minutes.  He would appreciate any amount of time you could give; 15 minutes, 1 hour, anything would be a help.  If you can help out please email Peter at peterbayley4@gmail.com

Welcome to our 30th season! Time to pay those fees!

We're looking forward to another fabulous season of music making! And now it's time for all members to register for the new season and pay your fees. On-line membership registration form available at the end of this blog.
