Volunteers Still Needed!! Sunday, Dec. 11
Meghan still needs at least 2 more volunteers to help out at the concert on Sunday at Gilmore United.
Concert starts at 3:00PM but volunteers will need to come a little earlier.
If you have a family member or friend who could help out with this and see a fantastic concert for free please have them contact Meghan at roca@roca.ca
Chorus Dates - December rehearsals, concerts, etc.
Here are the chorus dates and times for dress rehearsals, concerts and sing outs in December:
- Tuesday 6 December, All Saints Ladner - 6pm rehearsal for 7:30pm concert, formal concert dress
- Saturday 10 December - 10am rehearsal - probably only to 11:30am, but will depend on how Tuesday went. 7pm call upstairs in the choir room - formal concert dress
- Sunday 11 December - 2:30pm upstairs, unless there is a concert disaster!
- Tuesday 13 December - 8am-10am singout at 5811 Cooney Road, Richmond - I have Anna, Doris, Kathy / CathyB & me / Graeme & Don /Rick & Bill - Christmas singout wear
7:30pm optional at the Orchestra's concert for the Food Bank - South Arm United Church - Thursday 15 December - 8am-10am singout at 1190 Hornby St - quartet only - Anna, me, Graeme, Rick
- Monday 19 December - "singing card" to friends and supporters. Begins 10am at City Hall - Christmas singout wear
- Tuesday 20 December - ROCA party at community room at Edgewater Park
CHORUS RETREAT - SAVE THE DATE - February 4th, 2017
The date for the Chorus retreat will be Saturday, February 4th between 9:00am to 4:00pm. Times are approximate, but please save this date in your calendar. More details to come!
Volunteers Needed for Ceremony of Carols
Dear members,
We are in desperate need of 6 volunteers for Ceremony of Carols - Sunday, December 11, 2016.
Currently, we need volunteers for the following positions:
- 1 volunteer to oversee the draw box
- 2 volunteers to hand out programs
- 2 volunteers to collect ticket stubs
If you know someone that is looking for high school volunteer hours or simply would like to watch the concert for free, please have them contact me at roca@roca.ca.

Dear members,

As we are still looking for advertisers for this concert, we would please ask that you invite your friends to the event so that we can reach at least 200 invites. As we mentioned at the AGM, it is important to show social media engagement throughout the season.
Note that there is now a Poster Distribution page in the Members' area. The posters for Ceremony of Carols are printed and ready for distribution, so if you would like to help distribute posters please sign up.

Concert with Larisa Labeda - November 6, 2016
A Takes Four concert of "Music Inspired By Birds" will take place on November 6, 2016 with our Concertmaster, Larisa Labeda.
This concert will feature Music by Glinka, Alabiev, Rimski-Korsakov, V. Williams, Rachmaninow and many more. We hope you can make it!
Group Tickets: Ceremony of Carols
Dear members,
At last night's board meeting, it was decided that we would not sell group tickets for the Ceremony of Carols concerts. This is mainly due to the amount of expenses to produce the concert and the limited seating in the Sanctuary of Gilmore Park United Church. We appreciate your understanding, thank you.
