This concert features two of the 19th century's most uplifting composition – Beethoven`s Symphony No. 8 and Mendelssohn`s Violin Concerto. Beethoven's 8th Symphony is a cheerful diversion from the dramatic and monumental 7th and 9th Symphonies. Soloist Isabel Lago will thrill you with her performance of Mendelssohn`s romantic and heartwarming violin concerto and she will show us all why it is one of the most popular of all the violin concertos!
Richmond Sings will see musicians from all around Richmond come together to celebrate the power of music in our community. Helping in this endeavor will be singers from 8 to 80! With this diverse group of choirs there’s sure to be music to appeal to all musical tastes! So join us on May 3 for Richmond Sings, a wonderful night of entertainment for a very worthy cause. Admission by donation at the door.
