Rebecca Hass has enjoyed a rich and varied musical career that has embraced opera, concert work, musicals and cabarets. She  has sung on stages across Canada, appearing with almost every Canadian opera company. Rebecca is well known for her strong stagecraft, bringing vibrant characterizations, strong vocals and an intelligent stage presence to her work. Performing highlights have included Azucena in Il Trovatore with the Astoria Music Festival in Oregon, The old Baroness in Vanessa, Bloody Mary in South Pacific and premiering the new musical The Life Inside with The Belfry Theatre. Upcoming engagements include Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Victoria Symphony, Macbeth with Morris Panych directing and a turn as Mrs.Herring in Albert Herring with Pacific Opera Victoria in 2013. A graduate of the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble and The Merola Program of San Francisco Opera, she also can be heard often on CBC radio 2’s Saturday Afternoon at the Opera as a guest host and as the advice columnist ‘Dear Mezzomom’
