The Richmond Orchestra & Chorus is committed to giving back to our community, who supports us so faithfully. Our community outreach program has several components which includes a gift basket program, a series of free community appearances throughout the year and complimentary tickets for those who may not otherwise afford to attend our regular program of five concerts this year.

In addition, our orchestra brings their music into senior’s homes, for those who may not otherwise be able to come to our performances.

Complimentary Tickets

We are committed to ensuring that anyone who so desires can attend our concerts regardless of whatever barriers they face. With this in mind, we distribute a minimum of 10% of the available tickets for our season concerts to various charity groups and individuals, including poverty groups, social support organizations, schools, senior’s centres, and youth groups.

Fundraising Initiatives

The Richmond Orchestra & Chorus invites the opportunity for the churches we perform at to host our intermissions by serving refreshments to our audience by donation. In the past, these have included the youth groups at Fraserview Mennonite Brethren Church, Gilmore Park United Church, Richmond Alliance Church, Richmond Pentecostal Church and All Saints Anglican Church, Ladner.
