Clinician
Bruce Pullan needs little introduction to BCCF Chorfest-goers – he has been our clinician in three previous conferences, as well as directing the BC Youth Choir and the Children’s Choir in three more. He was born and trained in England, and since arriving in Canada in 1974 he has established an enviable reputation as a singer, teacher, adjudicator and guest conductor. He has just retired from the position of Director of Choirs at UBC, and is in his final season as Music Director of the Vancouver Bach Choir, with which he has worked since 1983. In 2007 he was appointed to the Order of Canada.
Concert Accompanist
Stephen Smith, Accompanist. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, and with musical training in the UK, Stephen Smith has lived in Vancouver since 1990, earning his doctorate at UBC and establishing a place as one of the city’s leading pianists. He is also assistant conductor of the UBC University Singers and the Vancouver Bach Choir, accompanist for Vancouver Men’s Chorus and Elektra Women’s Choir, and an accomplished composer and arranger.
Rehearsal Accompanist
Amber Fort Salladin is the accompanist for the Vancouver Bach Choir, and the director of the Chorales of the Vancouver Bach Children's Chorus family. She is also the director of the Youth Choir at the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach and an active church musician. She has been a lecturer and interim director of choral activities at Whittier College, a middle school music teacher, and a church children's and adult choir director. She received a BM in Music Education from Wheaton College (IL) Conservatory of Music, and a MM in Choral Music from the University of Southern California. She has restricted her professional time this year in order to spend time with her son, Caleb, born in June 2009.

It is easily accessible by car, public transportation (including the Canada Line) and of course by air. There are many amenities available on-site, or within close proximity.
Friday Night Reception: Friday night's reception has been changed to a "meet and greet" gathering for all participants at the Elephant and Castle restaurant in the hotel. Food and drinks will be available at a reasonable cost.
Saturday Night Banquet: We will be celebrating with wonderful music, talented people and, of course, a festive atmosphere! Wear your royal regalia to our evening banquet where we will parade and dance after a dinner that will suit all participants. Bring crowns, tiaras, sceptors, regal emblems and sashes! Speakers from the BCCF and entertainment from the BC Youth Choir and other "royal" guests will make the evening complete. Prizes, special performances and fun for all--pack your crowns for a royal raucous!
Sunday: We will move to the beautiful Chan Centre at UBC for the morning rehearsal and afternoon concert. Carpooling will be provided by members of the Richmond Chorus to and from the Delta Hotel to the Chan Centre. As you will need to check out before leaving the hotel for the Chan, you will be able to check your luggage at the hotel for the day. It is best to make all carpooling arrangements beforehand so please indicate your interest in carpooling on the registration form. Concert Dress - wear your own choir uniform or wear basic black.

Registration
** An important update regarding on-line registration: We were working towards offering this option for the first time for a Chorfest, however we were unsuccessful in making these plans a reality. Although the brochure states this as an option, it was optimistically produced and mailed before the on-line registration option was finalized. As a result, we are only able to accept registrations by mail as has always been the custom with the BCCF Chorfest. We apologize for any inconvenience.
